February 1, 2007 4 to 7 p.m.

The Wax Studio providing waxing and skin care services is opening a second location at Austin's growing South Lamar business district. On Thursday, Feb. 1, from 4 to 7 p.m., the spa will officially celebrate its Grand Opening with wine and $1 eyebrow waxes for the first 20 attendees.

You should go for the eyelash extensions. The 60's trend is back and kicking inspired by the recent big screen hits Dreamgirls and Bobby.

Welcome the New on the "South" Lamar Block.

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Violet Rouge - Austin's first specialist cosmetics boutique - has officially opened its doors. Featuring exclusive lines not found anywhere else in the Capital City, the store gives women a chance glam-up while supporting a local business.
Cosmetic Lines: 3 Custom Color, Face Atelier, Besame, Pixi, Girlactik and I nuovi
Bath and Body Product Lines: Cake, Lucky Chick, Nature Girl
Favorite Find: The Lip Scrub. As featured by Bobby Thomas of the Today Show is available in a number of yummy flavors including cocoa, peppermint, brown sugar, cinnamon sugar, almond creme and vanilla.

So your outside the bubble this Valentine's Day - SOLO! Take the opportunity to be pampered and maybe even reworked a bit. We can all use a few new pointers free on male persuasion.

So sieze the day (your v-day that is...). Pack up your "make-up" bag to the new Violet Rouge. You have only yourself to please and tips to learn.

On the 14th local make up artist Ellis Gray will be in the store doing make up for ladies who want to look extra special. Her work has been in Vogue, Town and Country and has been the personal make up artist for Susan Dell. The cost is $75, and she will spend 45 minutes with each appointment.

It is the perfect start to learning something new. The best part you will be able to walk away with a one of kind creation.

This one night class will send you home with a fun, fabulous, andfunctional handbag or tote of your unique design and creation. Just get used to the phrase "thanks, I made it!" Sassy cocktail purses, totes and yoga mat bags make a fabulous gift!

Students must have completed Beginning I or have good sewing machine skills. Students will choose from 12 basic bag shapes withpatterns provided in class or can make simple alterations to the bag patterns to customize.

I've just added a new pattern for a diaper bag tote, a yoga mat bag and a messenger bag to the mix for those who have already completed a simpler bag and want to try something more complicated

Students bring own materials (list provided upon enrollment). One 4 hour class *Four students per class *$40 per student
