Styleshaker.com began with the idea to support and promote Austin's independent designers and retailers. Although important to gain local support, Editor in Chief, Beth Lambert, was the most compelled to propel Austin talent beyond its "City Limits" with the goal to gain national credibility and fuel a national buzz.

Within its first year Styleshaker.com has placed Austin's style and its influencers in the national spotlight. At times it feels as if Austin will never gain the respect among the bi-coastal forces, but Beth loves the challenge.

Whether, Beth is fielding requests from interested west coast boutique owners, responding to national fashion editors (Kristopher Dukes), joining national initiatives or signing contracts with AOL, she continues to do a great deal behind the scenes to reposition Austin Texas as the place with its own signature style.
