The 58th Emmy Awards

The 58th Primetime Emmy Awards reminds us all to make the most out of our power colors. The sheer number of a-listers wearing black or purple gowns had us declaring a total yawn fest. Beautiful sure, predictable yea, inspiring NOT

Thank goodness for those embracing color. Jimmy Choos off to Heidi Klum in her Red Grecian Goddess gown by Michael Kors. Loved the hair, loved the gown, loved the pregnant glam look with the sexy side silt. Loved it ALL.

Not to mention Katherine Heigl who brought back a little bit of old Hollywood. Her plunging champagne gown by Escada just worked. Effortless elegance flattering her figure, skin and hair. True Perfection.

Probably the most surprising was Kyra Sedgwick. Who wore a beautiful gray gown. Truth be told - there are very few people that first - aren't washed out by the color and second - can pull it from casual to red carpet glam.

If we had to pick a Fashion NO for the evening we suggest starting with Vanessa Minillo. It would appear Mr. Nick really hasn't stepped too far away from the curvy long haired girl who loves wearing painted on colorful satin dresses. Kudos for consistency.
