Awake the inner rebel with the girls from Birds Barbershop.

Their event calendar is always stacked with amazing things to do. We caught up with them last Friday. The armed squad of stylists teamed with a team of MAC cosmetic specialists for a Beauty Bar Blowout on SOCO at the Factory People. Sporting mohawks and cans of beadhead the hair stylists added "instant" rebel rocker to those ready to shake it up.

Next Event: Birds Barbershop Hosts Mullet-A-Thon At Alamo Drafthouse South

To properly celebrate the highly anticipated opening of "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," Birds Barbershop will be giving away free mullets and racing stripes on Sunday, Aug. 6.

Moviegoers looking to go the extra mile just need to show up before the 4:40 p.m. and 7:35 p.m. show times at the Alamo Drafthouse South, located at 1120 South Lamar, for the new dos.
