Shoppers Rejoice: 2ND Street District Neighborhood Celebrates Birthday with Night of Fun, Food, Cocktails and the Ultimate Shopping Experience

August 28 Birthday Bash in Austin's Premier Downtown Neighborhood to Include Giveaways, Summer Sales , Champagne Toast with Birthday Cupcakes, Cookies and Gelato, $1,000 Shopping Giveaway and More

The 2ND STREET DISTRICT is throwing itself another birthday bash with an evening of fun, food, cocktails and a spectacular shopping event. Thursday, August 28, from 5 to 10 pm, we're turning up the music, serving up the fun, and passing out the birthday gifts.

Austin's best boutiques, restaurants and services in the city's premiere--distinctly Austin--downtown neighborhood have donated a stylish grand prize giveaway worth more than $1,000. Shoppers can register once at each store they visit during the event for chances to win this ultimate style spree--just in time to perk up wardrobe, home and spirits for fall.

Schedule of Events:
· Party kicks off at 5 pm with fun throughout the District and your chance to enter to win the style spree (once in every store)
· 8 pm Champagne birthday toast, cupcakes from delish, warm cookies from Tiff's Treats and Pacuigo gelato
· Shop and celebrate 'til you drop (or 10 pm)
· Then, continue the birthday fun with drinks and food at one of our neighborhood restaurants

All stores will be open and serving up something special until at least 10 pm. Parking is free for the evening in the City Hall garage (entrance on San Antonio between Cesar Chavez and 2nd Street). Valet Parking is also available at the corner of Colorado and 3RD Streets, Lavaca near Cesar Chavez and (new!) 2ND Street between Guadalupe and San Antonio.
